Cheshire Walks: Mobberley Rail Trail Route

Article Written: 16th March 2017

The Mobberley Rail Trail Route is a 10 minute car drive away or is the next stop from the local train station, spread over 4 miles you’ll walk a circular route exploring the beautiful countryside in the parish of Mobberley, one of the oldest parishes in England.

Along the 4 mile walk you’ll come across the Railway Inn Pub which since the train station was built in 1862 has been become quite a convenient stop off, also you’ll come across a impressive stretch which crosses the approach to the runway of Manchester Airport. Here is where to view the incoming planes loom at what feels like just a few feet overhead.

There is also a couple of picturesque churches along route such as St.Wilfrids which is rich with heritage, so for great views in the heat of the countryside along with spectacular Plane watching spot be sure to check out the Mobberley Rail Trail Route at Royal Vale
